Water Treatment Facility Field Trips

These free field trip experiences include a complimentary school bus for public and private schools located in the West Basin service area. Students visit the Edward C. Little Water Recycling Facility in El Segundo and/or the Water Education Center in Redondo Beach. Students learn about the water cycle, West Basin’s state-of-the-art water recycling process and water conservation efforts that protect local marine animals.

Field trips to the Edward C. Little Water Recycling Facility focus on recycled water technology and recycled water use in the community.  

Sorry!...this field trip is not available for the 2017-2018 school year due to major renovation improvements currently underway at this facility.  Please check back in the fall 2018 to visit a brand new Water Recycling Facility Visitor Center!  (Details coming soon!)

 

Water Education Center – Redondo Beach

Field trips are available to the Water Education Center where students can discover the importance of water, Southern California's water supply issues and West Basin's efforts to develop a local and sustainable water supply.  Students will also meet live marine animals protected by the agency's water conservation efforts.
