WATER SHORTAGE UPDATE: Conserve 20 gallons per day!

Metropolitan Water District of Southern California (MWD) is implementing its Water Allocation Plan. A 15% cutback for West Basin's service area equates to 20 gallons per person per day. OCEAN-FRIENDLY LANDSCAPE WORKSHOPS

Learn how to make your yard ocean-friendly and drought-tolerant. The Ocean-Friendly Program is brought to you in part by West Basin, the California Department of Water Resources, Surfrider Foundation and Metropolitan Water District of Southern California. Classes are held on a Saturday morning at a location within our service area. Workshops are FREE, but you must register. Visit www.sbesc.com or call Grace at the South Bay Environmental Services Center at 310-371-7222, ext. 206 to register.

  • The next Ocean-Friendly workshop is scheduled for March 6, 2010 from 9:00am to 12:00pm at the South Coast Botanical Garden in Palos Verdes Estates.
