2010 Conservation Master Plan Highlights
2015 Water Efficiency Master Plan (15MB)
2015 Master Plan Hightlights
West Basin has recently updated its Conservation Master Plan (now the "Water Efficiency Master Plan") in collaboration with West Basin's customer agencies, developing programs to save even more water through 2015. The updated plan shows the conservation we have achieved and the lessons learned since the plan was developed 5 years ago. Funding for the planning effort was provided by the United States Bureau of Reclamation and required a 1:1 match from each customer agency.

The plan is a road map. Compliance with important new water conservation legislation will determine the best program mix. This legislation requires the entire state of California to reduce its urban water consumption 20% by the year 2020. The Plan also lays the groundwork for West Basin’s own 2020 goals. As part of our Water Reliability 2020 initiative, West Basin will double the amount of water saved from 3 billion to 6 billion gallons saved; this will ultimately reduce our dependence on imported water.

City of El Segundo
City of Inglewood
City of Lomita
City of Manhattan Beach
California American Water Company
