Recycled Water

Partnerships

Recycled Water is truly a program that brings agencies together to form partnerships that benefit all of us. When the Edward C. Little Recycling Water Facility was built in the mid 90's, the US Bureau of Reclamation worked in close partnership with West Basin, building the infrastructure that is the backbone of the West Basin's world-class, award-winning water recycling program. Recently, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has provided technical assistance and construction funding to expand the distribution system pipeline to new customers.

Both the City of Los Angeles and the City of Torrance have joined with West Basin to construct pipelines and convert customers in their respective service areas. These partnerships continue to expand the use of recycled water beyond West Basin's existing service area helping to grow our conservation efforts here in Southern California.
