Dominguez Channel Opportunities and Constraints Analysis
West Basin Municipal Water District has completed a review of the potential use of brackish and nuisance runoff water from the Dominguez Channel as a future source of local water. The Dominguez Channel was found to be infeasible as a source of water due to low water quality, questions regarding water rights, health permitting issues, fluctuations in water availability and impracticalities for treatment plant siting.
