The summer months are ideal to plan a new drought-resilient, California-native landscape! Join a free Garden Design Workshop hosted by Metropolitan Water District of Southern California and West Basin Municipal Water District where you’ll learn how to identify critical steps for designing a water-efficient landscape.

The workshop will provide guidance on  design elements required to successfully qualify for the Grass Replacement Rebate Program starting at $3 back  per square foot of grass replaced with drought-tolerant landscape.

Topics include:

1. Sizing and siting the rainwater capture area
2. Developing a palette of climate-appropriate plants
3. Applying key design principles
4. Laying out a successful planting plan
