The West Basin Municipal Water District (West Basin) announced today that it will host the 2023 Water Harvest festival at the Edward C. Little Water Recycling Facility in El Segundo, Calif. on Saturday, October 14, from 10am to 2pm. The free, family-friendly event brings the community together for a fun-filled day of water education and activities.
West Basin water professionals will provide tours of its renowned water recycling facility. Water educators will perform stage shows, and nearly 30 booths will feature local partners. Games, kids costume contest, and opportunity drawings will offer fun prizes to participants. Visit www.westbasin.org/waterharvest for details and ongoing event updates.
“This year the West Basin Municipal Water District festival celebrates our community members as local water heroes who have demonstrated tremendous efforts to save water during our recent drought, and who continue to build sustainable, water-efficient lifestyles,” said West Basin Board President and Division IV Director Scott Houston. “We invite our service area community members to join the fun at Water Harvest on October 14.”
The schedule of events will include many ways to learn where our water comes from, what local and regional water providers are doing to protect our supply of drinking water, and how people can access resources that help save water and money in the long run.
