This year, West Basin Municipal Water District celebrates more than seven decades of water reliability for its service area communities. In honor of this significant achievement, West Basin is pleased to release a commemorative district history video.
The video, West Basin Municipal Water District: Celebrating 75 Years of Water Reliability, highlights the circumstances that led to the formation of the District 75 years ago and showcases its vision to diversify its water supply portfolio by importing supplemental water supplies, investing in water recycling, protecting groundwater, engaging with the community and expanding water conservation efforts.
Since its formation 1947, the District has been delivering on its mission of water reliability and establishing drought resiliency through balanced and cost-effective water supply diversification.
