Over the course of six Saturdays during fall 2023, the West Basin Municipal Water District provided 1,500 free rain barrels to residents throughout its service area’s five divisions. With hundreds of residents attending the events throughout the District, a dedicated team of volunteers is needed to help keep the lines of vehicles running smoothly by directing residents, loading rain barrels into vehicles, and assisting with other duties.
Local partner volunteers again dedicated their time to being at rain barrel distribution events and continue to be a huge asset in helping the community save water. West Basin is immensely grateful for those who volunteered their time at one of the District’s events.
