West Basin Municipal Water District (West Basin) was awarded over one million dollars in grant funding for two desalination projects from the Department of Water Resources (DWR).
The grant provides $547,295 for the C. Marvin Brewer Desalter Facility Improvement Project, which offsets construction costs for the installation of a new well at the District’s existing groundwater desalination facility. The remaining $500,000 of grant funding will help continue to advance the preparation of the Environmental Impact Report (EIR).
