Mon, 04/24/2017 – 4:07pm

On April 24, West Basin Municipal Water District recognized 13 student winners and program sponsors of the 2017 Water is Life Art Contest at the April Board Meeting.

The Water is Life Student Art Contest is an annual collaborative water education program between Metropolitan Water District and West Basin, designed to inspire students to explore and portray the importance of water and water efficiency. This art challenge inspires students to learn about our precious and limited water resources while thinking of creative ways to promote the contest theme “Water is Life.”  The contest is open to 3rd – 12th grade students attending schools located in the West Basin service area. All of the students that were recognized at the Board Meeting received an iPad. The Grand Prize winner received an iPad, stylus and an iTunes gift card to purchase educational apps.
