CARSON, Calif. – The West Basin Municipal Water District (West Basin) announced that one of its recycled water projects has earned a 2020 Regional Best Project Award in the Water/Environment category from Engineering News-Record (ENR). The District won the award for its Hyperion Secondary Effluent Pump Station Improvements (HSEPS) project, which was completed in 2019 and involved the construction of a new pump station and the installation of a three-megawatt emergency generator at the City of Los Angeles’ Hyperion Water Reclamation Plant (Hyperion) in Playa Del Rey.
