Public Agency Grass Replacement Rebate

As the State’s water supplies continue to be challenged by drought, West Basin continues to provide incentives for those who are ready to take the next step in creating a more sustainable drought-tolerant landscape. Public agencies can now take advantage of the Public Agency Grass Replacement Program, which offers increased incentives for the transformation of publicly-owned spaces in the West Basin service area. The program provides:

  • Rebate incentives starting at $4 per square foot to remove non-essential grass on public property in the West Basin service area.
  • Free professional design assistance to envision a new water saving landscape.
  • Rebate application assistance to help secure necessary funding for the project.
