West Basin Sponsors Three Teams in Metropolitan Water District’s 16th Annual Solar Cup™ Competition

West Basin Municipal Water District (West Basin) sponsored three out of 38 competing teams in Metropolitan Water District’s 16th annual Solar Cup™ Competition at Lake Skinner from May 18 through May 20. The three West Basin sponsored teams were Mira Costa High School, Palos Verdes Peninsula High School and Waterfront Education.
Waterfront Education secured the 1st Place Rookie 200-Meter Sprint Race Trophy. Palos Verdes Peninsula High School secured 1st Place Veteran Technical Report Trophy, Central & Bay Region and the 2nd Place Veteran Endurance Race Trophy, Central & Bay Region.
